Yes, Telemarketing seems an easy job because all you have to do is take calls. But believed us when we say it is not an easy job.

We've been doing this job for a long time now.

It is a profession that need much attention, listening skills and communication skills not to mention the inborn talent for people skills.

Nobody wants to talk much to Telemarketers however the talent of keeping the person on the other line is truly a rewarding.

A good call is worth our way in digging a great treasure. The questions in mind are, How do you recruit a good telemarketer? What do you look for? How much investment should I need to spend to have a good one?

But maybe you should understand first why you should  choose Telemarketing?

Remember, that Telemarketing will help you to understand what makes your company special. This will not only build your marketing plans but also make a solid company brand as a whole. Speaking directly to your target customers is the best way to engaged with them. Now let's go back to the questions,

Here are some practices and tips:

1. Attitude First!

We can get telemarketers with past experiences and more knowledgeable of the job. Most of us is looking for those type of candidates. But, remember, you can always train skills. Would you prefer demanding telemarketers that will say  I know how to that and do this or those telemarketers who can really deliver valid leads?

2. Confidence

If they have the fire, the eagerness and strong will, They probably can
but if they think they can not then they most certainly won't.
A positive attitude matters most. But do not be mistaken about Confidence and Arrogance. You need to determine that in their voice.  Have a great judgement. We need to look back to number 1.

3. Tone of Voice

You need to hear them live on how do they sound? That is exactly what we do during initial interviews even though they have their recordings prior to the screening. We make sure that they are conversant. Are they sound friendly,  or can we imagine if they are smiling while communicating, do they have a neutral accent? those should be in our lists. There are more impact in the tone of voice rather than words. So better to check first on how they sounded talking on the phone.

4. Communication Skills
Communication with Rapport and Empathy will surely build trust to yourcustomers. Keen listening and pitch of voice matters when talking to someone. The caller should build those things while communicating to engaged with leads properly. This is to make sure of a high chance of value sales or else it would be a hang up or a do not call disposition leads.

5. Motivation

It is not all about money, however it is one of the achievement that sales people are looking for. But there are some just proud of being praised and be noted on the good calls. Either way, there should always to be some drive to push your telemarketer especially those doing cold calling to some achievement or goal. They need to know they are worthy of the job and push them to work harder to achieve the goal and be a goal-oriented person.

6. Mock Calls

It is one of the practices we do to telemarketers during training. We do role plays before deploying them to the job. We need to know how they will react with objections and deal with rejections. They won't go far and circle-back the client's interest if they do not know how to handle such situations.

7. Cost-Effective Investment

A U.S.-based telemarketing service with native callers may charges by the hour has an average cost between $10 and $75 per hour. An offshore telemarketing service that charges by the hour has an average cost between $12 and $20 per hour. A telemarketing service may charges by the lead has an average cost between $35 and $60 per lead. An average human resources outsourcing company will charge anywhere from $50-$1500 per month. Naturally, this price is based on how many employees you
have and how many services you need. So choose an outsourcing company wisely that fits your budget and requirements.

8. Nesting

It does not mean that your telemarketers are not good. This is just to improve more what they already have. You need to check if you are on the same page as what you prefer. Just like birds, we watch them how to fly high and be free.

Outsourcing your telemarketing, whether it be an inbound or outbound calls, frees up time for your main employees to focus on the daily operations of the business. Rather than answering questions about products or tracking orders, they can focus on pursuing and delivering new leads to help your business grow and thrive. Outsourcing your telemarketing efforts means that you’re hiring someone who’s Their focus every day is calling and making sales or even dealing with inbound calls.

Outsource your telemarketing efforts to an agency that offers flexible payment and service structures to find something that suits your business. They will often provide a quote based on your specific needs or have packages to choose from with various inclusions.

Effective time management is one of the most challenging aspects of being the owner of a growing business. If a business owner has too many balls in the air, they will inevitably start to fall. That’s why automation and outsourcing have become strong parts of every business.
